¡Salud! Supporter Program

The Oregon wine industry depends on a seasonal workforce to bring its sought-after Pinot noirs to market, but these workers often cannot meet their basic health care needs when stretching a few months’ income over a full year. ¡Salud! was created by a group of Oregon winery owners and Tuality Healthcare physicians to help address the health care needs of these workers who are so integral to the winemaking process.

As the demand for healthcare to this vital workforce continues to increase, new opportunities to contribute and join this crucial mission have been developed in order to satisfy the rapidly growing need.

In 2008, ¡Salud! and its participating wineries established the ¡Salud! Supporter Program. This program, in addition to the November auction event, provides a means for area wineries, vineyards, and businesses to support the ¡Salud! mission all year long.

The ¡Salud! Supporter Program has been segmented into several areas of contribution to allow flexibility of giving for potential donors. These programs provide a variety of methods to contribute through including: tasting room fees, percentages or portions of individual bottle sales, specified donations per ton of grapes harvested by growers, as well as through a mechanism to license the ¡Salud! logo.

We are incredibly grateful for the immense support and generosity provided to ¡Salud! by the members of the Oregon Wine Industry and beyond. Listed below are the wineries, vineyards, and individuals who have participated in this program in 2009:
